Assessments
I conduct psychological assessments for clients from ages 18+. I no longer conduct assessments with children.
As a clinical psychologist, I am able to to provide formal diagnosis and you will not require another health professional (i.e., psychiatrist or pediatrician) to verify the diagnosis.
Specifically, I conduct assessments for diagnosing; Psychiatric disorders and neurodiverse diagnoses such as Autism and ADHD.​​ These assessments can assist with NDIS funding, Centrelink and specialised learning support plans for university.
Please note assessments are not covered by Medicare and a mental health care plan (MHCP) cannot be used for assessments.

The Assessment Process
01 Contact and Book appointment
Email or call me about the reason you are looking for an assessment and I can let you know what kind of assessments might be appropriate and the list of costings around assessment.
We can then organise a time and date for you to attend the initial assessment appointment.

02 The Initial Assessment Appointment
The initial assessment appointment will involve gathering information related to the assessment reason.

I normally gather information around your development, as well as educational/occupational history.
​
At the end of the session, I can provide a preliminary opinion of what diagnosis/diagnoses I suspect and discuss appropriate assessment to further assess.
03 Assessment Appointments
After the initial assessment appointment and you have agreed to the assessment, you will need to pay a deposit of 50% of the assessment cost in order to book the assessment sessions.

Once this has been completed, I will conduct the assessments during the sessions booked.

I will also email you standardised questionnaires for to complete about yourself and a family member or close partner or friend.
04 Report Writing
Once all the assessment sessions have been completed and all questionnaires and documentation have been received, I will start writing the report.
Please allow up to 3 weeks for completion of the report.

I will email you the report initially for you to check over and read through. If you have any brief questions, I am happy to answer them through email.
05 Feedback Session
You can then book a feedback session with myself to further explain the report in detail. (This will be an additional cost).
